HERDADE DO SOBROSO

Herdade do Sobroso: authenticity in the heart of Alentejo
A territory with history and winemaking tradition
Herdade do Sobroso is a unique destination in the heart of the Alentejo, marked by its history, landscape and winemaking tradition. Located in the DOC Vidigueira region , where the Alto and Baixo Alentejo meet, the estate extends over 1,600 hectares on the banks of the Guadiana River, next to the Alqueva Dam – the largest artificial lake in Europe . This land, once inhabited by Vasco da Gama himself, keeps its essence alive through its vast cork oak groves, vineyards and olive groves. The surrounding nature, marked by cork oaks and vineyards, gives life to an authentic territory, where the Alentejo tradition is preserved and celebrated.
